Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, TX has been put on lockdown due to reports of an active shooter on the scene.

Details on the situation are currently unclear, but preliminary indications suggest that emergency services were called at around 8:00 A.M. after the school’s fire alarm bells went off. It isn’t clear at the moment how many people, if any, have been injured.

Students are currently being evacuated from the school, and some of them have told law enforcement and media outlets that they heard gun shots.

UPDATE: 10:24 a.m. EST: School district officials have confirmed that people were injured. The situation has been contained, but remains active.
