— TODAY (@TODAYshow) September 14, 2018
Newly-submitted court filings indicate that the previous reports were true and former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort will plead guilty as part of an arrangement with special counsel Robert Mueller.
Manafort was recently found guilty for numerous charges of bank and tax fraud, though he was about to head into a second trial to face other allegations for obstruction of justice and conspiracy against the U.S. While its still not clear whether Manafort is going to cooperate with Mueller’s investigation into Russia and President Trump, he is expected to appear at a preliminary hearing and give a guilty plea to federal prosecutors.
