The Senate Judiciary committee released transcripts of its interviews with Donald Trump Jr. on Wednesday — about the 2016 Trump Tower meeting with a Russian lawyer. And in some of the excerpts, the president’s son displayed a pretty hazy memory.
Notably, according to the AP, Trump Jr. could not recall speaking with his father, President Donald Trump, about the Russia investigation.
LA Times reporter Chris Megerian Tweeted out a portion of the transcript which shows Don Jr. denying that he’s spoken with his dad about a number of Russia-related topics.

Daily Beast reporter Lachlan Markay highlighted a portion of the transcript in which Trump Jr. couldn’t remember a four-minute phone call he’d placed to blocked number on the day of the Trump Tower meeting. Immediately before and after that mysterious phone call, Trump Jr. had spoken with Emin Agalarov — who helped broker the sitdown with the Russian attorney.

And CNN K-File reporter Andrew Kaczynski flagged a portion of Trump Jr.’s testimony in which he claimed that his email saying that he’d “love” dirt on Hillary Clinton , “especially later in the summer,” were meant as a brush off of sorts.
Don Jr. claims his “love it, especially later in the summer” line on potential Clinton dirt was meant to say he was just being polite and he had a lot on his plate. Okay. pic.twitter.com/hDzWhrdjoR
