President Donald Trump denied ever working for Russia during a White House press spray Monday morning as he made his way to New Orleans for a conference of farmers.

“I never worked for Russia,” the commander-in-chief told White House Press Corps, before adding, “not only did I never work for Russia, I think it’s a disgrace that you even answer the question because it’s a whole big fat hoax.”

Later in the press spray, he undermined the FBI investigation calling Justice Department officials “dirty scoundrels” and “dirty cops.”

This comment came in light of reports that surfaced over the weekend that shortly after the firing of James Comey, the FBI started a counterintelligence investigation that looked into whether or not Trump was either compromised by or working on behalf of Russia.

On Saturday evening, Trump appeared on Fox News for a telephone interview with Jeanine Pirro, who asked of President Trump if he had ever worked for Russia. His response to that question raised eyebrows as he claimed great offense to the question begged by the NY Times report, but never actually denied working for Russia.
