The Daily Show‘s Trevor Noah roasted Rep. Steve King on Thursday night for his comments in a New York Times article and subsequent statement about those remarks that he released via Twitter.

“King has oftend faced accusations of racism,” said Noah. “Now that’s mostly because of all the racist stuff he says, but today he defend himself by saying ‘what’s wrong with racism anyway?’”

They played a news clip on the story, in which a reporter is heard saying that King said he is “not racist” but that in the article King “questions why the term white nationalist and white supremacist are offensive language.”

“Yeah, I’m not racist,” said Noah, mocking King. “You n*****s need to calm down!

He closed the joke remarking that at least King didn’t do something really unforgivable like dance on a rooftop, referring to the recent video of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
